Getting Started

This is a quick start guide to competing in Virtual Pool 3 online tournaments.

Requirements

The full downloadable upgraded version of Virtual Pool 3. See How to acquire or upgrade Virtual Pool 3 below for further information.
GameSpy Arcade. In essence, this provides a chat lobby for Virtual Pool 3 where players can gather for the commencement of the tournament. The tournament director will always be present and will provide chat messages in order to provide information about and run the tournament. The latest version of GameSpy Arcade and be downloaded from here.

If you do not own Virtual Pool 3 at all or do not own the Interplay "Jeanette Lee" or Global Star "Curly's" version (see pictures below), then you may purchase a full downloadable version of Virtual Pool 3 (no CD required) for $19.95. Buy now.

If you have the Interplay Jeanette Lee version of Virtual Pool 3, you may upgrade to the 3214 version for just $9.95.

Click a tournament of interest for more information
Make a note of the start date/time and be in the GameSpy Arcade Virtual Pool 3 lobby at least 15 minutes before the tournament is due to start.
Look out for chat messages from the Tournament Director who will provide links to the sign up page and other information about the tournament.
